It’s been a minute since I’ve posted. I’ve spent a good deal of the pandemic writing “The Book” which I am very happy to say is getting closer to reality. I’ve learned a couple of things during these insane times.

  1. Sharing your story allows you some perspective.  Putting this thing down on paper, revising and rewriting again and again has turned it from an event I am living into something I can observe.  Which gives me a bit of distance to analyze the situation- and that has been remarkably helpful for me.

  2.  Art therapy is the bomb.com. Get thee to the art store and find a medium to express yourself. I really do think that has saved my life and sanity. Well, not my sanity. I lost that a loooong time ago.

  3. Make your pain your purpose. I don’t share my story to hurt anyone involved, or to ask for anyone’s pity. I share my story so that someone else going through a similar situation might see that they are not alone. That what they are feeling is not aberrant or weird. We need to hear each other’s stories so that we feel connection. And connection is the thing that will save us…

  4. …which is ironic because the Pandemic of Dreams is determined to separate us from each other. Fight that. (In a masked, socially distanced and hand sanitizer doused manner, of course.)
